Rama Royani

Rama Royani – Founder of Talents Mapping, Creator of Strength Cluster Map, and Strength Typology. Rama Royani received B. Eng in engineering physics in 1964 from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia. He had been the CEO of Limawira group of companies from 1986 until 2005. Then, he become the owner of LeadPro Consulting which is engaged in the management consultant. He is the creator of management tools for strength based organization and is an instructor of training-of-trainers program for business partner.

“In engineering physics program, the courses provide horizontally and wide disciplines, have given a broad of technological insight which supports individual roles as arrangers in technical fields.

Achmad Kalla

Achmad Kalla – President Director of PT. Bukaka Teknik Utama Tbk.
Achmad Kalla received B. Eng in engineering physics in 1979 from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia. After his graduation, he found PT. Bukaka Teknik Utama Tbk. which, currently, has 5.000 employees and many sub-contractors.

“Education in university provides ways to think, methods to analyze, and how to solve problems. Engineering physics program provides analysis methods based upon knowledge of physical phenomena.

Fadel Muhammad

Fadel Muhammad – Former Governor of Gorontalo Province and Indonesian Minister for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries
Fadel Muhammad graduated from Engineering Physics-ITB in 1978. During his periode as EP-ITB student, he was actively involved in many student activities. After graduation, he entered the business world and together with a few fellow graduates set up a pioneering engineering company, PT Bukaka Teknik Utama. The company, which first manufactured fire trucks and construction equipment, has expanded and diversified to become a leader in the Indonesian engineering and manufacturing industry. He resigned from Bukaka Group in 1997 and became the owner of GEMA Group holding some joint venture companies. Since 1992, he has been appointed as a member of MPR-RI (People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia), and he was also elected as the Chief Treasurer of Golkar Party.

He was appointed as the Governor of Gorontalo Province for the period 2001-2006, and in 2006 he won the first Gorontalo gubernatorial election for the period 2006-2011. But in October 22, 2009 he was appointed by the president to become Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries

Kusmayanto Kadiman

Kusmayanto Kadiman

Kusmayanto Kadiman – Former ITB Rector and Indonesian Minister for Research and Technology during 2004-2009
Kusmayanto Kadiman received B. Eng in engineering physics in 1977 from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia and Ph.D. in systems engineering in 1988 from Australian National University, Australia. He worked as a faculty member in engineering physics at Bandung Institute of Technology. From 2001-2004, he was the president of Bandung Institute of Technology. He served as Indonesian minister for research and technology from 2004-2009. Engineering physics evolves methods starting from physical phenomena, then added by engineering aspect, in such a way that they can be manipulated for human needs.”

Karen

Karen Agustiawan

Karen Agustiawan – The first woman to run state-owned Pertamina
Galalia Karen (Karen Agustiawan) graduated from Engineering Physics ITB in 1983. After graduation she enter the oil and gas industry. Karen has experience working in big oil and gas companies, including giant oil producer Mobil Oil, now ExxonMobil, and the world’s second largest oil field services provider, Halliburton Co. She was the first Indonesian woman hired by Mobil Oil, where she worked for 14 years.

During her time at Mobil, Karen held several positions including system analysts and programmer to develop reserve calculation, seismic processor and quality controller systems for several seismic projects. She was also project leader of the exploration computing department.

In 2002, she became the first Indonesian women hired as a commercial manager by Halliburton’s Indonesia unit. And in 2009 she became the first woman to run state-owned oil and gas company, Pertamina.

Didit Herawan

Didit Herawan – Former General Manager of Motorola Networks Indonesia
Didit Herawan graduated from Engineering Physics ITB in 1985, after graduation he entered Indonesian Aerospace Industry in 1986 and He was appointed as Deputy VP Sales & Marketing for Asia Pacific until June 1998. During his time at Indonesian Aerospace Industry, He had the opportunity to work as an IT Engineer at Boeing and he received his MBA in international marketing from Nyenrode Business Universiteit.

In June 1998 he was appointed as country director/GM of Motorola Networks Indonesia for almost 11 years. After that he received his PhD in Strategic Management from Universitas Indonesia. Now he work as dean School of Engineering and Computer Science at Bakrie University Jakarta.

Raharjo Kusetiadi

Raharjo Kusetiadi – director of PT. Heksa Prakarsa Teknik

Raharjo Kusetiadi graduated from Engineering Physics ITB in 1992. After graduation he engaged in various jobs related to micro-hydro power plants. He has attended various training about micro-hydro in many countries such as Switzerland and the UK. Since 1995 he has been a director of PT. Heksa Prakarsa Teknik Bandung that doing business in the field of micro-hydro power plant. His company designs and manufactures equipment for hydro power such as turbines and generators. Since 1992 until now, he has installed about 180 micro-hydro in various places both inside and outside the country. In Indonesia, his micro-hydro has been installed in nearly all the provinces from Aceh to Papua. Besides Indonesia, his product has been installed in several places in Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Laos, Nepal, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Zaire, Tanzania, Cameroon, United Kingdom, Madagascar and Congo. The power plant he produced range from several kW until several hundred kW.

Courses at Engineering Physics ITB gives a very comprehensive basic engineering include: engineering mechanics, fluid mechanics, knowledge of materials, instrumentation and controls, and strongly supports the my business. Flexibility in using laboratory equipment has provided a very useful experience as a practitioner in the field of engineering, especially in small hydropower”
